Enrolments are open for summer skills JobTrainer training program - 29th January 2021

Member for Vaucluse Gabrielle Upton MP today welcomed an expansion of new online fee-free Summer Skills training courses for school leavers as part of the JobTrainer initiative.

Ms Upton said, “The Summer Skills courses offer school leavers practical and fee-free training opportunities so that they can upskill at their own pace and gain some extra skills during these uncertain times.

“Over 100,000 fee-free training places are available as part of the NSW Government’s contribution to the JobTrainer initiative so I encourage anyone impacted by the pandemic to see what training options are available in 2021.”

Minister for Skills and Tertiary Education Geoff Lee said the Summer Skills program, launched in November 2020, has expanded to include seven TAFE NSW online short courses targeting school leavers from last year.

“In designing the Summer Skills program, the NSW Government has ensured the training on offer aligns to local industry needs,” he said.
